International Danube Day

The Danube is one of Europe's greatest rivers, originating in Germany’s Black Forest and flowing through 10 countries. For centuries, it has played a key role in the history and development of European nations, serving as a vital trade route, a cultural bridge, and a strategic boundary. More than two thousand years ago, the Romans called it Danubius, recognizing it as a natural frontier of their empire.
Today, the Danube remains a powerful symbol of European unity. Since 2004, June 29 has been officially celebrated as International Danube Day — a reminder of the river’s historical importance and the need to preserve its unique natural and cultural heritage.
At Domina Pulkovo, we honor this great river with our Danube Restaurant, where the atmosphere reflects the rich cultural diversity of the regions it flows through, blending refined cuisine, elegant interiors, and genuine European hospitality.
We invite you to celebrate this special day with us at Danube Restaurant — spend an evening enjoying fine flavors and the legacy of one of Europe’s most beautiful rivers.
