HC Dinamo Minsk Victory on January 19

During their stay in Saint Petersburg, the professional hockey team HC "Dinamo" Minsk - one of the leading clubs in Belarusian hockey competing in the Kontinental Hockey League - was accommodated at our hotel.

While staying at the hotel, the team played a KHL regular season match against HC SKA. The game took place on January 19 at the Ice Palace arena and ended with a 4–3 victory for Dinamo Minsk. The match was intense and dynamic, with the outcome decided in the final moments.

The scoring was opened by Dinamo Minsk forward Stanislav Galiev in the ninth minute. In the 26th minute, defenseman Nikita Melosh doubled the visitors’ lead. SKA players managed to equalize the score, after which the teams continued to exchange goals. The decisive goal was scored by Stanislav Galiev just 30 seconds before the end of regulation time, completing his brace and setting the final score at 4-3.

We would also like to highlight the achievement of Dynamo forward Vadim Shipachyov, aged 38. On January 12, 2026, he became the first player in the history of the Kontinental Hockey League to reach 1,000 career points. In the game against SKA, Vadim continued to build on this unique milestone, effectively beginning the count toward his second thousand. According to experts, predicting when the KHL will see another player reach such a mark is virtually impossible.
